Is my property covered?

Water damage to your property is usually covered as standard by your buildings insurance policy, and is referred to by insurers as ‘escape by water’, which can be caused by a number of issues, from burst pipes to tree root damage. Escape by water damage is one of the most common types of domestic property damage claims, with insurers paying out £1.8 million for it every day.
